Energy rating

The washing machine energy rating system runs from A-G, with A being the highest energy efficiency rating and G being the lowest. And the more energy efficient your washing machine, the less power it uses. Good for the planet and for cutting your energy bills!

Spin speed

The washing machine spin speed tells you just how fast the drum rotates during a cycle. Washers generally range from about 1200 to 1600rpm. And a higher rpm will make your clothes dry faster, spinning out the moisture.

But, when it comes to what spin speed to use in your washing machine, the best isn’t always the fastest. Wool and some synthetics need a slower spin speed compared to cotton - so it’s just about what materials you wash most often.

Eco-friendliness

If you want an eco-friendly washing machine, there are a few things to check for. One is the energy rating we talked about before. Another is whether it has a dedicated eco mode – a green washing machine with this setting can use up to 60% less energy…

What is a freestanding washing machine?

A freestanding washing machine stands on its own, letting you fit one pretty much anywhere there’s a connection. You can stack it, store it under a counter or keep it as is. They’re also easier to move from one spot to another and vary in size a lot more than integrated ones, so there’s a bit more choice.

What is an integrated washing machine?

Want something you can easily hide away? A built-in or integrated washing machine is designed to slot into its own cupboard or under-counter space so it stays out of sight. Most will be built to fit standard cabinet sizes. But it’s still important to measure carefully if you want the best integrated washing machine for your space.

What is a washer dryer?

A washer dryer is perfect if you need to save on space, combining both a washing machine and a tumble dryer in one. Like regular washing machines, a washer dryer combo can be freestanding or integrated.

How to measure for a new washing machine

Before you start your search, it’s really important to measure the area you want your washing machine to go. This’ll help you narrow down your options and make sure you don’t get your heart set on a model that just won’t fit!.

Grab your tape measure and record the height, width and depth of your space. Now subtract 5cm from the width and 15cm from the depth. This will allow enough of a gap for your machine to be properly ventilated – giving you your ideal washing machine measurements. Oh, and don’t forget to check you’ve got enough room to open your machine door to load and unload your washing.

How much does it cost?

We’ve got a range of plans to suit you from just €1.99 per month. You can find out about the cost of our plans based on the subscription which best suits your needs. Note that page plans include the flexibility to adjust your monthly print plan based on your changing print needs.

What is included?

The fee includes the ink, postage and recycling. Note that ink is delivered based on your usage and is not delivered monthly.

Should I sign up if I still have ink?

What do I need to subscribe to a ReadyPrint plan?

It's easy to create a subscription for ReadyPrint. For ReadyPrint Flex, you will need an eligible Epson printer. You can check if your model is eligible at sign-up. You will need a payment method (credit card or direct debit information), an email address, an internet connection and an address (for ink to be posted to). Please note that you will need to ensure that your printer is regularly connected to the internet to ensure we can provide a consistent service and supply.

I have a voucher/ promo code, how do I use it?

If you have a voucher or promo code, you can enter this on the ReadyPrint website when registering. The promotion will be applied to your account once your registration is completed. Please note you can only use 1 promotion code per printer per plan.

Do I get sent ink every month? How do I get more ink?

No. Ink is not scheduled to be sent every month. Replacement ink is delivered when more ink is needed for you to print the pages in your plan. This means that the timing of ink deliveries will depend on usage. Your printer anticipates when you need more ink and ensures a delivery reaches you before the previous ink runs out. Because of this we do not send ink every month, instead we send ink when your printer needs it. You will receive an email when new ink has been dispatched. You can track your ink deliveries by visiting your 'Account Deliveries' section in the subscription portal.

How does my printer know when to send more ink?

When you register for ReadyPrint, technology inside your printer monitors your ink usage. Your printer anticipates when you need more ink and ensures a delivery reaches you before the previous ink runs out. Because of this we do not send ink every month, instead we send ink when you need it. You can update your delivery address in your account section in the subscription portal to ensure we always send the ink to the right address.

How often will I be billed?

The billing cycle starts on the day you complete your registration and runs automatically monthly. You will be billed at the start of each billing cycle. If you move to a higher usage plan within a billing cycle you can opt to start your new plan immediately at the new amount. You can check the pages that remain in your account on the 'Plan' section. If you choose to set up your plan via Direct Debit, your Direct Debit will be taken on the date you start your subscription. If you print more pages than your chosen plan, it will use up pages rolled over from the past two months. Extra pages will only be charged for when both the pages included within the plan and any rolled over pages have been used. Any extra pages will be billed at the end of the month together with the invoice for the next billing cycle.

Yes - we are happy to store your items for a period of time until your new or renovated kitchen is ready for installation. Just contact our Customer Services team at [email protected] to arrange.

Can I track my order?

Yes, for small items delivered by An Post we will email you with the details of your tracking number. For large appliances we will contact you to arrange delivery

Can you deliver to an apartment?

Yes, but please note that Delivery is to a Ground Floor residence only (unless a lift is available).

Can I order online and collect in store?

At Soundstore we are conscious of the fact that some customers require their purchase almost immediately and may be unable to wait for a delivery to arrive. We also appreciate that your time and money is precious, so we’ve saved you some of both with our FREE Click and Collect service.

What happens if I miss my delivery?

For small items delivered by An Post, the postman will leave details of the local depot where you can pick up your item. For large items you will be contacted to arrange delivery. Our driver will contact you an hour in advance of arrival. If nobody is home to accept the delivery we will try to reschedule at the next available date.

If I order my kitchen appliances today can you store them till I need them installed?

Yes we are happy to hold your items for delivery until you are ready to have them installed - whether its a new kitchen, renovation or whatever.

Will you dispose of my old appliance?

We take away your old Large Appliance for recycling for FREE on a like for like basis provided the item is ready for collection, disconnected and disinfected at time of delivery. We also request where possible your WEEE product is outside the premises where we are delivering in advance.Please note that this does not apply to An Post deliveries of Small Items. However, you can also return your old electrical items for free to any of our stores (no purchase necessary). Please see the WEE Recycling page at mywaste.ie for further information.

Do you provide an installation service?

Yes, we can provide installation for appliances in many areas around the country. See Installation Services for more information or contact us at info@soundstore,ie to see if we offer this service in your area. The cost of this service will vary depending on the product and type of installation required.

What should I do to prepare for my delivery?

Measure correctly so you know the new appliance will fit in your kitchen. (This should be done before you buy).

Check access routes to ensure there is enough space for the delivery van and enough room to get the appliance through doors and hallways.

Remove any obstacles such as furniture so your appliance can be delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible.
